Glentoran: |
After the January defeat at the Showgrounds, the Glens have won 4 of their league games, drawing 1 and losing 1, remaining 6th in the Danske Bank Premiership but with a bigger gap to 5th place, Crusaders 5 points ahead, while the East Belfast men now have 3 games in hand over most of the top 6 teams. They've also had success in the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup, with wins over Moyola Park and Portadown. |
Ballymena United: |
Since the January game, United have won a single league game, drawn 2 and lost 3, most recently a 1-0 defeat to Carrick Rangers at Loughshore Leisure Arena on Tuesday evening. This left the Sky Blues level on points with Carrick Rangers, in 7th place only on goal difference. Glenavon remain 3 points behind. They have also beaten Carrick Rangers in the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup, a penalty shoot out needed to separate the teams, and also defeated Newington 4-1 in the sixth round of the same competition. |
