Since the meeting in January, Carrick have went on to draw twice, holding Cliftonville and Glenavon at home, lose 1-0 away to Coleraine and, last Friday evening, a 2-0 win against Newry City propelled them up the league table to leapfrog Glenavon into 8th place, just 3 points behind United and 1 ahead of Glenavon. |

The Sky Blues won their next game 2-0 at home to Dungannon, and have drawn two scoreless home games against Newry City and, on Saturday afternoon, against Portadown. They have also lost 3-0 and 4-0 away to Linfield and Cliftonville respectively. In the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup United went on to beat Newington 4-1 at the Showgrounds, and will face Ballyclare at Dixon Park in the quarter-finals in March. |
