BALLYMENA United are back in action in the Danske Bank Premiership when they host Portadown at the Showgrounds on Saturday afternoon.
The last meeting between the sides was at Shamrock Park in March, Portadown winning with a single Adam Salley goal in the first half.

Portadown:
Since the last meeting between the sides, Portadown have defeated Coleraine 2-0 and lost to both Cliftonville and Warrenpoint Town, leaving them sitting on 24 points in the promotion/relegation playoff spot, 4 points behind both Dungannon Swifts and Carrick Rangers.
Ballymena United:
In the same period, United have beaten Larne 3-1 at Inver Park, drawn at home to Glentoran and lost to Crusaders and Glenavon away from home. United sit in 8th place, 4 behind Glenavon, in the battle for the 7th place spot and European playoffs it brings.

They've also a Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup semi-final to look forward, which is now scheduled for Tuesday 26th April at Mourneview Park, kicking off at 7:45pm. Confirmation of our opponents is expected on Friday 22nd April.
