Glentoran:
Since the game in November, the Glens have won 13 league games, drawn 2 and lost 3, leaving them 3 points behind league leaders Linfield and a single point ahead of Cliftonville, who have a game in hand.

They defeated Newry City 1-0 at home in the quarter-finals of the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup, only to be replaced by Newry City after fielding an inelegible player, a decision which has been appealed.
Ballymena United:
In the same period United have won 8 games in the Danske Bank Premiership, drawn 3 and losing 8 games, and now sit 2 points behind Glenavon in the race for a potentially crucial play-off spot.

United were victors over Larne in the quarter-finals of the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup, coming through a 3-3 draw to win 4-3 on penalties, Caolan Loughran firing home the winner.
