BALLYMENA United continue their quest for this season Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup as they host Portstewart in the second round.
This will be the first competitive fixture between the sides as both previous meetings have been pre-season friendlies, the latest in 2007 at Seahaven resulting in a 4-0 for United.
With 4 wins, 1 draw and 6 defeats in the Premier Intermediate League so far this season, Portstewart sit in 9th spot with 13 points, having lost their last game 1-0 at home to Limavady United.

The Seahawks have defeated Valley Rangers, Maiden City, Ballymacash Rangers, Mossley Young Men, and Institute - all away from home - to reach this stage of the Samuel Gelston’s Whiskey Irish Cup.
Ballymena United:
With 11 wins, 2 draws and 12 defeats, United sit in 6th spot in the Danske Bank Premiership table, their most recent game last Friday evening ending in a 2-2 draw at home to Cliftonville after two very late goals, one of them a penalty.

In their only game in the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup the Sky Blues have played only one game, defeating Loughgall 2-0 in January thanks to goals from Christopher Rodgers and Andrew McGrory.
Match Tickets:
As Season Tickets are not valid for this game, all supporters wishing to attend the game MUST buy a ticket at a price of £10 for adults and £6 concession.

Tickets for Ballymena United supporters are available at Tickets - Home Fans.
Match Information:
The match kicks off at 3:00pm.

Should the match result in a draw after 90 minutes, two 15 minutes of extra-time will be played, and should the score be equal at the end of extra-time, the match shall be decided on penalty kicks.
Portstewart manager Johnny Law will hope that his side can cause a huge upset and know that Ballymena United have been inconsistent in form this season. United manager David Jeffrey has been busy in the January transfer window and has his sights set on a quarter-final spot. Make your way to the Showgrounds and be loud and proud in support of YOUR team - Come On Sky Blues!
