Since the meeting in October Larne have defeated Crusaders, Glenavon and Warrenpoint Town, drawing with Glentoran, Portadown and Cliftonville and losing a single game away to Coleraine. They sit 4th in the league on 32 points, 3 ahead of Coleraine and 1 behind Glentoran, both of whom have a game in hand on the Inver men.
They've also reached the final of the Toals Co Antrim Shield with an 8-0 win over Ballyclare Comrades, and go on to face Linfield in the decider.
In the same period United have beaten Glenavon, Crusaders and Warrenpoint Town, losing to Glentoran, Carrick Rangers and, most recently Cliftonville. Currently in 8th place, the Sky Blues have 19 points and sit level with Glenavon who hold the advantage on goal difference.
A 3-1 win over Linfield in November set up a semi-final tie against Cliftonville in the BetMcLean League Cup next Tuesday evening.

|Des Allen Suite:|
|In line with government requirements, from Friday night there will be checks at the entrance to the Des Allen Suite for a COVID passport or a negative lateral flow test/proof of positive COVID PCR test in the last 6 months.|
Ballymena United spectators will only be able to gain entry from the ECOS side of the stadium, in other words all spectators travelling to this match by car should drive to the roundabout on the Broughshane Road and take the turn off signposted to ECOS and follow Kernoghan's Lane into the car park at the rear of the Showgrounds.
Any home spectators walking to the stadium should walk down Suffolk Street onto Farm Lodge Avenue and make their way to Gate E, then around the new 2G pitch and along the rear of the Main Stand to the turnstiles at Gate P.
Slemish Drive turnstiles will NOT be open for this match and Slemish Drive car park will not be available for use by Ballymena United Supporters.
Supporters are also advised that at the end of the match Ballymena United spectators will be required to leave via gate P and on towards ECOS centre/Kernoghans Lane then Broughshane Road.
There will be no egress towards Slemish Drive or Warden Street egress to Suffolk Street may be subject to a short delay.
