Cliftonville:
Since the game in December, Cliftonville have registered league wins against Portadown, Glentoran, Larne, Linfield and Glenavon. They lost a single game to North Belfast derby rivals Crusaders, and drew against Carrick Rangers and Coleraine. They now top the league, a single point ahead of Larne who have a game in hand.

They also beat Dundela 5-0 away from home in the 5th round of the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup, setting up a 6th round tie at home to Coleraine next weekend.
Ballymena United:
United have won against Glentoran and Dungannon Swifts, lost to Portadown, Coleraine and Linfield, and drawn with Newry City since defeating Cliftonville. The Sky Blues sit in 7th place, 11 points behind Glentoran who have a game in hand, and 4 points ahead of Glenavon who have played the same amount of games.

A win on penalties over Carrick Rangers in the 5th round of the Samuel Gelston's Whiskey Irish Cup set up a 6th round home tie at home to Newington next weekend.
