THIS week saw an increase in the prize fund with an extra £10 minor prize.
However it was the other minor section winners that caught the eye this week with the name Darren featuring twice in the winners list. First up was Darren Reynolds (A5259) who picked up £10 who was closely followed by Darren Crawford (B8679) who also picked up £10 on his mum Janice's agency. The third £10 minor winner was David Murphy (A0927) in Ballykeel. David was a £10 winner some weeks back so he is enjoying his time as a Sports Bond member and is a multiple winner.

In the £50 major section Kells man Leslie McKee (B3651) was a £50 winner on the agency of Alastair Shaw. Back in Ballymena down at the Horse and Jockey Thomas Millar (A1147) was also a £50 major on the agency run by Francine Warwick.

The jackpot now stands at £500 as the jackpot numbers 5, 11, 20, and 24 were not allocated. Sports Bond rules are that if it is not won before it reaches £1000 then it will be drawn to a finish.

Agents News
Sports Bond extends deepest sympathy to members Nathaniel and John Balmer who have been sadly bereaved by the passing of their father Cowan Balmer. John lived with Cowan at Royal Court, Gracehill. Next door lives Nathaniel and his family, and a sister Rebecca lives nearby, so they were a close knit family. A difficult time for the Balmer family.

Congratulations to Sports Bond member Christopher Harris and wife Lynn who celebrated their wedding anniversary on Sunday.

Birthday wishes to Sports Bond member Barbara Gillespie who celebrates her birthday this Saturday.
Douglas Diamond wedding anniversary
On September 22nd Billy and Reenie Douglas were quietly celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary with family and friends when they received a visit from David Jeffrey and partner Rose. Billy and Reenie were presented with a beautiful bouquet and then enjoyed some great chat and conversation. Billy informed David that it was the 1958 Irish Cup win that inspired him to support Ballymena United and he has been following them ever since. On Friday evening the couple celebrated with the family at a party in the Adair Arms, the same venue as their wedding reception 60 years ago. However both were thrilled to have a visit from Rose and David. On hand was photographer Trevor Armstrong to record the happy event.
