A Moby jackpot success for Cullybackey
Uploaded Monday, 27th Jun, 2022 at 06:03

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Sports Bond member George Stirling of Cullybackey who became our latest £1000 jackpot winner when his numbers of 2, 5, 6, and 9 secured the top prize and created a very unique double for the Moby Chip proprietor.
The first prize in the New Year Draw was sponsored by Sports Bond and George was our New Year winner. He generously used the first prize to sponsor two match balls. The Moby Chip has no less than 4 yearly members at the popular hot food outlet, and has also a player sponsor for quite a number of years. Thanks George for the huge support you give each year to Ballymena United.

The major winners this week were both in outlying areas. In Martinstown, Michael Stewart (A4275), was a £50 major winner. Michael has been a Sports Bond member since its inception 20 years ago. Originally he was a member on the Gallaher based agency of Ian McKeown and latterly on the agency of Patricia Thompson. Congratulations Michael and thanks for your support over the years.

Over in Portglenone, on the agency of Maurice Anderson, lives our other major winner Jayden Mulholland (A6058). Congratulations to young Jayden.

In Randalstown we find a first time win for Gerald Scott (A2355) in the agency of Alastair Shaw. Whilst our only Ballymena based winner was Brendan Surgenor (A7087) which was Brendan's first win on Sports Bond since he joined last August.

So another £1000 jackpot has been won and still after 20 years no one has won a £1000 jackpot twice. If you would like a chance to win a £1000 jackpot then join up on 028 2564 1886 or 07831 803970.

Congratulations to two Sports Bond members and Ballymena United supporters, Jackson Currie and Dean Campbell. The two Broughshane men completed the Macmillan Cancer Causeway Coast Mighty Hike on Saturday. The 26 mile course along the North Coast starts at the rope bridge in Ballintoy and covered roads, hill terrain, coastal paths and beaches, ending at the University of Ulster. The pair raised a considerable amount to date and completed the challenge in just over 8 hours. Well done lads that was a great achievement and now what's next?

Sports Bond extend best wishes to Keith Soulsby, one of our great quartet of members in the Co Durham area. Keith recently had major surgery and has just returned home. Everything indicates that the operation has been successful and Keith faces at least 6 weeks of recovery to build up his strength. Keith, along with great friend John Pogue, attended the League Cup final against Linfield back in 2019. A keen fisherman, we hope he is soon able to take up the sport again soon.

Sympathy is extended to Sports Bond member Mary Herron who was recently bereaved of her mother in law.

Belated birthday wishes to Sports Bond agent Janice Christie who celebrated her birthday last week. We knew something was up when husband Colin was seen with a lovely bouquet of flowers!
