|Luke Back to Sports Bond Success|

|For many years Luke Gaston (A4455) was a Sports Bond agent, an excellent agent he covered the Ballymoney Road area for Sports Bond.|
When he stepped back as an agent he stayed as a member and this week he was a £50 major winner. Lukes area is now Alex Beverlands and Alex covers the same Ballymoney Road area as Luke once did and is doing an excellent job as Luke once did.
Alastair Shaw is enjoying a fine run on Sports Bond at the moment and this week Billy McClurkin was a £50 winner on his agency. Billy has been a previous major winner.
Margaret Downey had another winner this week, it was a £10 win for husband Tom Downey (A5960), back in Ballymena another £10 win for Jimmy Barr (A8832).
Still no Jackpot allocated with the numbers 2, 6, 9, 11 and the Jackpot is £400 for this week.
Happy birthday to sky blue evergreen and Sports Bond member Maurice Gibson who was 87 on 2nd August. We hope to see Maurice back at the showgrounds this season again.
Now that we are in August we are looking forward to some agents in the hospitality sector to be up and running again before the end of the month. Notably we had some old members rejoin with Ann Purkess in Ahoghill and Tom McKeown who was a previous Sports Bond agent. For Ian it was a bitter sweet weekend, he was at Windsor on Friday night to see his beloved Ballymena United compete in the Irish Cup Final. Naturally disappointed with the result he was the next day celebrating Arsenal's win in the FA Cup.
George Forsythe and friend former Ballymena United Chairman Edwin McLaughlin went to the Irish Cup Final on Friday evening. Both were disappointed but George had the good fortune of having a 22 minute First Score card and won £30. Another well known Ballymena United supporter Trevor Robinson was also a holder of a 22 minute First Score card and also wins £30.
In the semi Final First Score promotion it was Sports Bond agent Maurice Anderson who had a winning 45 minute First Score card and picked up £30. For the FA Cup Final First Score a 5 minute card is the winning First Score, as yet no one has claimed. Spare a thought for Alan Sloan, a Harryville Homer, Ballymena United and Chelsea fanatic, a broken man!
