Glentoran match abandoned due to rain

THE Danske Bank Premiership game against Glentoran at The Oval on Friday was abandoned due to continuous heavy rain after just a quarter of an hour.
|
|
|
|
|
|
The referee took the players off as the pitch got a thorough soaking when the rain started just as the match kicked off. It was announced to the supporters they'd try and get some of the surface water off the pitch, but after ten minutes the referee tested the surface, showing no roll or bounce on the pitch and abandoned the game.
