Ladies' success continues on Sports Bond

ANOTHER successful week for lady members on Sports Bond. Both our major winners this week are lady members and both we believe are first time winners.
|
|
|
|
|
Alex Beverland had a major winner with Debbie Lorimer (A7515). Down at the Horse N Jockey Janice Butler (A8493) was also a first time major winner.
In the £10 minor section Lucy Peoples (A8148) who had her first win some months back was celebrating a second win on the agency of Alastair Shaw. A member of the great Sports Bond supporting Wylie family was the other £10 minor winner and that was Davis Wylie (A1020). As far as we can recollect this Davis first win.
The jackpot was not won at £300 where it had been won on the last occasion with the numbers 13, 15, 16, and 20. Therefore the jackpot continues its upward progression.

Sports Bond and its agents were shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of David Workman. David had been the agent at the Blackstone for almost 20 years, since Sports Bond inception. However with the onset of the pandemic and the closure of the Blackstone the agency was curtailed though Davy and wife Jean continued as yearly members. Promoter Brian Thompson who knew Davy for many years before he became a Sports Bond agent spoke warmly about Davy. 'When I was looking for somebody to become an agent I was delighted to get Davy on board and he was meticulous as an agent. On an occasion when he was of work due to a medical condition he made sure the Sports Bond return was ready for collection in a Monday evening. He was a great guy and I will personally miss him greatly'. To his wife Jean we extend our deepest sympathy at this sad occasion.
Congratulations to Sports Bond member Broderick Young and wife Rhonda who celebrated their Ruby wedding anniversary on Sunday.
Also on Maurice Anderson's agency we send birthday wishes to Gary Black who celebrates a birthday next Sunday.
