THIS week's results on Sports Bond were dominated by long standing Ballymena United supporters. However there is a more interesting statistic concerning our major £50 winners this week in that both are from the teaching profession.

Paul McAuley (A6369) had been a lifelong Ballymena United supporter however his teaching career has led to his appointment some years ago of Vice Principal of Larne Grammar School. Surely this appointment has led to some interesting exchanges better himself and those Larne supporters amongst his pupils. Paul has been a Sports Bond yearly payer for many years and this week was a £50 Major winner. Top Marks to Paul for his support.
Our other major winner this week was John Johnston (A1392), a member on the Seven Towers agency of Tommy Patterson. John has now retired from the teaching profession but was a well known local teacher for many years. Again its Top Marks to John for his support.
Both our £10 minor winners this week are a mirror image of the major winners. Ballymena United supporter and Sports Bond member Roy McKay (A1903) is also a member of the Seven Towers agency of Tommy Patterson. While Valerie Getty (A2689), like Paul McAuley, is a yearly payer. This is Valerie's second win on Sports Bond as she was a £50 major winner previously.
Only one draw left at a jackpot of £950 this week. If the jackpot is not won this week then we have a Midsummer's Day draw for a guaranteed £1000 the following week. For the record the jackpot numbers were 12, 13, 23, and 24.

Sports Bond were saddened to learn of the passing of Liz Craig of Broughshane after a short illness. Liz was a long time Sports Bond member and a great football fan having been a Rangers fan with many trips to Ibrox and she served as Secretary of Raceview Football Club for many years. We extend our deepest sympathy to her Daughter Julie and son Stephen and family. Liz was a much loved member of the Broughshane community and we will miss her greatly commented promoter Brian Thompson.
We also extend our deepest sympathy to Nigel and David McIlrath who were sadly bereaved of their mother Lila. The McIlrath family have a long association with Ballymena United and both have been members of Sports Bond since inception.
Birthday wishes to Stephen Stirling a member on Maurice Anderson's agency who has a birthday on Thursday of this week.

The winning time on the First Score for the Northern Ireland match with Cyprus was 32 minutes. Unfortunately neither of our two Marks - Mark Wylie and Mark Anderson - had the winning time, however Mark Anderson sold the winning card to Anne McCosh who will collect £30. That's the last first score of the season and we would thank all who have made the promotion such a success of late.
