Sports Bond success at Charlie's
Uploaded Monday, 15th Nov, 2021 at 08:45

FOR over a year Sports Bond lost the support of our agents in the hospitality sector due to the Covid pandemic. Thankfully they are now back with us and trading away.
Patrons of Charlie's on William Street can raise a glass in celebration to Oonagh Mclaughlin (A2937) who was a £50 major winner this week. Thanks to Charlie Havelin the proprietor of Charlie's for his continued support. Charlie is a massive Arsenal supporter so life has been sweet of late.

Maurice Anderson continued a fine run with a £50 winner with Keith Richmond (A8580). Keith has been a previous winner this year also.

Another excellent week for the ladies with £10 minor wins for Petula Kirkpatrick (A8513) in Broughshane and another win for Annie McMullan (A2279) in Ballymena. As we are only a couple of weeks from our 20th anniversary a healthy jackpot of £800 awaits some member.

No Jackpot was allocated with the numbers 6, 14, 15, and 24.
Match Sponsor
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sports Bond which held its first draw on November 20th 2001, the successful weekly draw which is a part of the clubs fabric, will be the Match Sponsor for the NI premier league match with Carrick Rangers. The Match is on Saturday 20th November 2021 exactly 20 years to the date of its first draw. Sports Bond agents will be meeting in the Des Allen suite at 1.30 for a pre-match hot fork buffet meal. Guest of Honour will be Ballymena United chairman John Taggart, himself a Sports Bond member.
Agents News
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Sports Bond the draw nearest to our anniversary date which will be in November 23rd will have a special promotion. As well as the normal weekly prize fund Sports Bond will be giving away 20 special prizes of £20. In other words £20 for each of the last 20 years. Two birthday celebrations this week. On Tuesday Sports Bond member Kelly Donnelly has a birthday celebration. On Monday Sports Bond promoter Brian Thompson has a birthday celebration. Probably not one to remember!
First Score
On Saturday at The Oval we experienced one of our fastest ever First Score. The opening goal was recorded in the first minute on 50 seconds. Now for those of you who have ever drawn a first minute card and thought no chance, step forward Doren Mooney. Along with husband Eddie and kids AJ and EJ are strong Ballymena supporters home and away. On Saturday she purchased 2 first score cards and one was a first minute card which she scratched. A few words of comfort were mentioned by Brian Thompson "you never know" and approximately 20 mins later she was a winner of £30 nice one Doreen at least she had an occasion to remember.

This week sees an international first score for Northern Ireland versus Italy. First score cards are priced at £1.
