Uploaded Thursday, 29th Oct, 2020 at 22:35

We're delighted to welcome Rebekah Jones onto the medical team at the Showgrounds.
Local physiotherapist Rebekah responded to our recent vacancy advertisement and accepted the position with immediate effect. She has already made her television debut when called on to treat Ciaran Kelly for a bloodied mouth after six minutes against Linfield last week.

Coming from a family of Sky Blues, Rebekah has been more used to travelling to the Showgrounds to drop off her younger cousin to training with the Youth Academy. A physio in the Royal Victoria Hospital, she admits that this is a step into new territory, 'this is a great opportunity with it being my local club, the team I support and a chance to build my experience in another environment. Being involved as a physio in team sports is not something that I've done before but it's something that I'm excited to be involved in and my experience in the community will easily transfer to this role.'

Head physio Gary Crosbie was delighted to welcome Rebekah to the club, 'we are very happy to have Rebekah join us and it makes it even more poignant that it's someone with a local connection with the club. Since joining the club myself back in 2017 it's been a great staff team to be part of and I hope Rebekah gets as much from it as the club will gain from her being here. She will take the lead in supporting the treatment and rehabilitation of the development teams within the club, and, as seen live on Saturday night, will support the senior team as well.'
