Ballymena lies within the middle of County Antrim in Northern Ireland. We have provided directions and travelling information for those that may be travelling to the Ballymena Showgrounds.

Ballymena United play their home games at the Ballymena Showgrounds, which lies at the end of Warden Street - just outside the town centre. As indicated by the green arrow on the town map provided below.

TRAVELLING BY CAR

From Belfast
Follow the M2 north until sign posts indicate a turnoff for the A26 for Ballymena.

Turn right at the roundabout onto the A26 for Ballymena and follow straight ahead until the Seven Towers Roundabout. Take the 3rd exit at this roundabout and follow the dual carriage-way to the next roundabout (Larne Road).

Take the 2nd exit back onto the motorway that is signposted for Coleraine.

Take the first exit off the motorway, (Junction 11) sign-posted for the Ecos Centre. (also marked Ballymena - Broughshane)

Turn left onto the main road, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout and follow the road straight ahead (passing St. Patricks school on your right). Turn left onto the small slip road at the end of the road opposite All Saints Chapel.

The Showgrounds is straight ahead at the end of Warden Street. Follow signs on match day for car parking.

From Coleraine/North-West
When approaching Ballymena there is a turn off to the town centre, ignore this and continue down the M2 towards Belfast.

Take the turn off (Junction 11) marked Ballymena - Broughshane - Ecos Centre, and follow directions as above from Belfast.

TRAVELLING BY RAIL/BUS

Travel times of buses and trains coming in and out of Ballymena are available at www.translink.co.uk.

The town service bus leaves at regular intervals from the Ballymena station at will stop within walking distance of the ground.

TRAVELLING BY PLANE

Ballymena is relatively close to two airports - Belfast International Airport (Aldergrove) near Antrim, and Belfast City Airport in East Belfast.

The airport handles mainly UK flights from London and some smaller airports in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. The airport is 30 minute drive away from Ballymena.

Belfast International Airport is a 20 minute drive from the Ballymena. Public transport (Airbus) leaves the airport every 30 minutes and the fare is £5 one way.
