Our featured supporter is Timothy McKillen, who has suffered almost 20 years of heartache with Ballymena United!

How long have you supported Ballymena United?

Since I was 6 yrs old - 1988

Can you remember your first match?

It was against Crusaders - we lost!

Best United game you remember?

Probably the best match I remember was against Crusaders in 1997 - we won 4-3 and it was a fantastic match and atmosphere. Also the 1989 Irish Cup Semi-Final replay against Linfield was great - being the underdogs and putting on a great display, and to rub it into the thousands of Bluemen!

All time United player?

I'd have to say wee Dessie Loughrey - great player for the club.

Favourite Memory?

Winning the Irish Cup in '89 was great, and the only "proper" trophy I have seen us lift. Also, the trip to Odense was unforgettable, the journey, the match itself and the partying was magnificent - hopefully something that can become a regular occurence.

Worst Memory?

Getting relegated in 2001 is probably the worst of many following Ballymena through the years.

Players who have impressed you?

Mickey Collins is a great player - one I'd love to see at the Showgrounds. Glenn Ferguson is still the best finisher in the Irish League.

Your favourite United memento?

My photo with Alex Mckee and the Irish Cup in 1989 is well treasured!

Your favourite United kit?

The Argentinian style stripes is my favourite.

What does following the Sky Blues mean to you?

It is my local team and it means the world to me. Doesn't matter if we are winning or losing I will always be there supporting Ballymena United and WHEN we finally win another trophy it will be the best feeling for all the fans who have been there during the bad times.

Your hopes for the future?

To have a young quality team at the showgrounds who all give 100% for the shirt and bring us some success (and some more European adventures!)
