AFTER a number of years of failing to settle at a number of Irish League clubs, striker Nathan McConnell will looking to find his feet at the Showgrounds.

Lisburn born Nathan began his career with local side Lisburn Youth before moving to Linfield in 1997, from there he signed professionally for Scottish side St. Johnstone. However injuries and loss of form saw him make a swift return to the Irish League.

He returned to Linfield in December 2001, making his senior debut that month in a 4-0 over Newry Town - Nathan went onto pick up a County Antrim Shield runners-up medal that season. However, with limited chances at Windsor Park he joined hometown Lisburn Distillery in July 2002.

He joined Cliftonville in January 2004; spending 18 months at Solitude before joining Glenavon in August 2006. His stay at Mourneview was also a short one before rejoining Lisburn Distillery for a year and then onto Bangor in August 2008.

In the wake of Bangor's decision to step down from the IFA Premiership last season, McConnell joined Walker's United at the end of the Winter transfer window - however only made five appearances towards the end of last season.
