How did you first get started out in football?

"I've been kicking a football from no age, my first team was Greenisland Boys Club who I joined at Under-10 level and stayed until Under-15 level. Jim Grattan was actually my manager there and I played with Sean O'Neill and William Grattan too."

What is your earliest footballing memory?

"My earliest memory would definitely have to be playing for my primary school. We had a great team back then and we even won a 7-a-side tournament which involved all the schools in Northern Ireland. Even at that age I can remember it being really competitive, but I think the parents got alot more excited than the players!"

What have been the highlights of your career so far?

"I have a few contenders; being selected for the Northern Ireland Under-18 Schoolboys team was a great achievement and also winning Player of the Year for the schoolboys. Winning the Second Division with Ballyclare Comrades in my first season with the first team was good but I think playing at Ewood Park against England for the schoolboys was for me the highest point."

What are your aims and goals whilst at Ballymena United?

"At Ballymena I hope to develop not just as a player but as a person, and from my time here already I'm sure that I will be able to achieve this. My main aim is to cement a starting place for the first team and play each week for the club; as for the rest of the season my goal is to work hard and help the team stay away from the relegation zone, which in my opinion we will do."

Do you support any other football teams?

"I'm a Manchester United fan and I have been ever since I can remember."

Do you have any superstitions before you play?

Yeh, I have a few. Every game I have to bring the same towel with me, when I'm putting on my boots and shinguards the left one must go on first. Also when I put on the tape to hold the guards up it also must be the left one taped up first."

How do you like to relax away from football?

"Away from football I like either just lazing around the house watching TV or playing the Xbox; I also like playing snooker with friends but I can only do any of these if I dont have any University coursework to get done!"

Where is your favourite holiday destination?

"I would have to say Canada. I'm half Canadian on my Father's side and because of this I get to go back over quite regularly to see my family, I love it over there as it's a completely different world to here."

If you had one wish it would be...

"To have a million wishes! But if thats not allowed it would be to be the richest person in the world so I could do anything and buy anything that I wanted."
