KELBIE TO JOIN MORTON
(Tuesday, 1st June, 2010)

STRIKER Kevin Kelbie is to sign for Scottish First Division side Greenock Morton on a full-time contract.

United's top goalscorer last season was released by manager Roy Walker after the Scot had spent five years at the Showgrounds, racking up an impressive 75 goals in 181 games.

Kevin, who signed from Glentoran in 2005, will sign an 18 month full-time deal with the Cappielow Park side despite strong rumours linking the 24-year-old to Portadown and Glenavon.

His replacement has already been made with fellow Scot, Gary McCutcheon joining from Portadown - whilst Coleraine striker Richard Gibson has also been signed to bolster the United attack.

Those that have also been released by the club this summer include; Gary Muir, Noel Anderson, George Stewart, Ormon Okunaiya, David Cushley and last week midfielder Philip Carson had his contact terminated by mutual consent and has joined Lisburn Distillery.
