RYAN BERRY JOINS SKY BLUES
(Friday, 21st May, 2010)

RYAN Berry has become the latest player to join Roy Walker's new look side after moving from Glentoran.

After a difficult past year in which 21-year-old Berry spent the second half of the season at Championship strugglers Coagh United, he was released by new Glens mananger Scott Young.

Last season was a far cry from Ryan's first years in Irish League football when he was tipped make into the professional game after impressive displays for Glentoran including the 2006 Irish Cup Final defeat to Linfield.

He signed a professional deal at the Oval and went onto make 74 appearances scoring twice - one of those goals was the winning goal in the 2008 County Antrim Shield Final.

Ryan signs a one-year contract at the Showgrounds and will report back with the rest of the first-team squad on 22nd June for pre-season training.
