THIRDS IN LEAGUE CUP FINAL ON MONDAY

BALLYMENA United Thirds go in search of cup glory on Monday night in the final of the IFA Youth League Cup Final.

They will face Youth League title challengers Glentoran Colts at Crewe Park, Glenavy on Monday evening at 7.45pm.

It will be a dream first season in charge for manager Melvyn Logan aided by his assistant Mark Carlisle, veteran of 400+ appearances for the Sky Blues. They took over Colin Sewell's side which won the Harry Cavan Youth Cup last season and are looking to make it back-to-back trophies for the Thirds.

Captained by Lee McCaughren, the Thirds warmed up for their final with a 3-2 victory over Newry City Wanderers on Thursday evening, with Ross Nelson scoring twice.
