BALLYMENA United have annouced plans for an Ulster Scots evening featuring Willie Drennan in February as part of the club's fund-raising iniatives

'A wee gatherin' has been organised by Cllr Maurice Mills and has enlisted the help of fellow Ballymena United supporter and local musician Willie Drennan amongst others to provide what promises to be a great night's entertainment.

Drennan recently featured in the BBC NI show, 'Dander with Drennan' which followed the trail of Willie as he travelled across the country in search of music and stories embedded within the history of Ulster Scots.

The event will take place at Cullybackey High School on Friday 26th February, 2010 and tickets will be priced at £10. Ticket information will be available soon on the website and also in the local press.

There will also be an auction and a ballot for a number of football and non-football items, with all the proceeds going towards Ballymena United Football Club.
