TEENAGE defender Chris Ramsey has extended his contract at Ballymena United until the end of the current season.

The former Manchester City player signed for the Sky Blues in October as emergency defensive cover and has gone on to establish himself as one of the stand-out performances of United's inconsistent season so far.

The Belfast based centre-half had originally only signed a short-term deal until the end of December, which has now been extended until the end of the campaign.

Ramsey has made 14 appearances for United since making his debut against Cliftonville at Solitude.
