COUNTY ANTRIM SHIELD DRAW
(Monday, 17th August, 2009)

BALLYMENA United have been paired with Championship One side Donegal Celtic in the quarter-finals of the County Antrim Shield.

The Sky Blues safely progressed through the first round last week against Harland & Wolff Welders and will now face the West Belfast side in the Paddy Power sponsored Shield on Tuesday 29th September at Suffolk Road.

Previously the only meeting between the two sides was in September 2007 at the same stage of the competition when Ballymena ran out 2-0 winners with goals from Davitt Walsh and Mark Picking.

In the other ties Crusaders travel to Larne; Lisburn Distillery host Cliftonville whilst Glentoran and Linfield meet at the Oval.
