BALLYMENA United officials are calling on United fans to come forward to become matchday stewards for the following season.

"If we do not meet the minimum number of stewards as set down by Health and Safety regulations, then matches will not be allowed to go ahead – it's that serious," said a United spokesman.

Adrian Scullion has stepped down as Safety Officer and he is replaced by Davy Galbraith. Sammy Adams is Assistant Safety Officer and other new appointments include Jacqueline Bell (Chief Steward) and Jimmy Knowles (supervisor).

"We are sorry to lose Adrian and would like to thank him for his efforts over the years," the spokesman added.
