BALLYMENA United's proposed pre-season friendly with Cambridge United has been cancelled.

The U's had initially been scheduled to travel to the Showgrounds on the 25th July, as part of a two match tour of Northern Ireland - also incorporating a game against Portadown at Shamrock Park.

However, due to a number of factors the tour of the Province has now been cancelled.

Ballymena United's first team will report back to pre-season training tomorrow (Tuesday) ahead of the new IFA Premiership campaign.

The Braidmen will travel to Ballyclare Comrades on 23rd July for a game which is part of the deal that took full-back Michael Smith to the Showgrounds in January.
