CALLAGHAN WINS ANOTHER UNDER-21 CAP

AARON Callaghan was on international duty at the weekend, as Northern Ireland's Under-21's won convincingly against their Luxembourg counterparts on Friday night.

United defender, Callaghan, started the vital Eurpoean Under-21 Qualifier against minnows Luxembourg at Mourneview Park - winning his twelfth cap in the process.

The comprehensive five goal victory sent Northern Ireland to the top of Group Nine, ahead of favourites Germany and Israel. Goals from David Buchanan, Andy Waterworth, Jamie Ward and a brace from Chris Turner sealed the win.

Callaghan, who had missed the last international played the full ninety minutes for Roy Millar's side.

The Londonderry full-back will be hoping to be involved in the team's next qualifier tomorrow night against Moldova, again at Mourneview Park.
