PASS ON THE PASSION THIS SATURDAY
(Wednesday, 24th October, 2007)

THE IFA are pleased to unveil the first of many great 'Pass on the Passion' campaigns for this season, designed to encourage attendance at local matches.

The first campaign entitled 'Wear your colours with pride' kicks off today and runs for the entire month of October.

The offer, open to home supporters, centres on encouraging a sea of club colours to support the team.

Wear your club's current home or away shirt to any HOME LEAGUE game during the month of October and receive £1 discount on your admission price.

Geoff Wilson, Head of Marketing and Communication said: "We want to make the match day atmosphere even better at your local club, bringing the crowd together as one voice behind your home team. Help us create a new sea of green, blue, red or white, supporters together as one.

"Show your support, wear your club's colours loud and proud at any home game during October.

"This first campaign is quite exciting for local football fans. It focuses on club supporters joining together as one and getting behind the team. The home crowd creating that sea of club colours can only greatly benefit the home side and make for a more exciting and fun atmosphere.

"We took ideas from the famous Northern Ireland international 'Sea of Green' initiative and wanted to role that out across the domestic set-up."

So why not take advantage of this on Saturday and wear your current Ballymena United home or away top and help Pass on the Passion.
