COMMUNITY RELATIONS OFFICER APPOINTED

IAIN Black has been appointed as Ballymena United's new Community Relations Officer.

The new position is a mandatory requirement for IFA and UEFA club licences.

Iain's role will be to develop support for the club throughout all sections of the community and he will be seeking to devise ways and means to attract families, disabled people, young people and other under-represented groups to the Showgrounds.

He will be responsible for ensuring that the UEFA 10-point plan, relating to anti-racism/sectarian policies is implemented throughout the club, as required for licencing purposes.

He will also liase with the IFA's Community Relations department and represent the club at the Football for All inter-agency forum.

Nicknamed "Hightower", Iain is a lifelong Sky Blues supporter who also has extensive experience in the field of community relations, is a well-known face about the Showgrounds and the club is grateful to him for volunteering his services for this role.
