First Score
They say it only takes a second to score a goal and at Stangmore Park on Saturday it was a second to decide who would win the £30 prize. Promoter Brian Thompson's stopwatch called the goal on 14 mins 59 secs (15th). At every game Philip McPeake, who writes the match reports for the club website, acts as a back up, he also called the goal at 14mins 59secs (15th min). Had it been 15 mins 1 sec it would have been 16th minute. Brian commented he is indebted to Philip for his backup. As yet no holder of a 15 minute card has claimed the first £30 of the season. The next First Score is at Inver Park on Saturday.
Walk of Hope
Brian Thompson is preparing to walk to Inver Park on Saturday for the Premier League game between Larne and Ballymena United. This will be another Walk of Hope for BraveheartsNI.
