BALLYMENA United are delighted to announce that Kenny Kane has signed a pre-contractual agreement to join next season. The 19 year old striker, who has notched 47 goals already for Dervock FC this season, will join his new team mates in the summer on a three year deal.

Manager David Jeffrey was very pleased at securing the services of the much coveted forward, "It can't be overstated how delighted we are with the signing of Kenny. A very trusted close associate of ours recommended Kenny to us and we watched him firstly through Mickey O'Neill before Paul McAreavey came in to see him and pulled it all together. He has been up training over a number of weeks with the squad and we know he was a target for other clubs, but he decided that he wished to join Ballymena United.
He's a young man with great potential, a tremendous left foot, and he will continue to train with us one night a week this season to continue to develop his game. He's doing fantastically well in terms of his goal scoring, and similar to Cathair Friel when he was at Limavady, he wants to leave Dervock with the goal scoring record - so we've come to an agreement with Kenny and with Dervock that he will join us at the end of the season on a three year contract.
We want to say a big thank you to Dervock for how they have gone about proceedings. They have been most helpful, professional and accommodating and we are delighted that the end result will see Kenny come here to match mine and Bryan's ambition for this club."
Kane was equally as thrilled to put his name to a future at Ballymena United, "Everything just feels right at the Showgrounds, being up here and how I've been treated by everyone. Looking ahead to next season I'm looking forward to playing under David as he's the best manager about. I've had a couple of seasons up at Dervock and this year I got my chance, took it and it's that form that I want to bring to the Showgrounds and continue my career here."
