Former Players Still with us on Sports Bond
Uploaded Sunday, 23rd Jul, 2017 at 22:16

THIS week saw a unique two minor winners who were both attached to Ballymena.
Stephen Young (B2942) was of course a member of the Irish Cup winning team from 1987 and Joe Kyle (A3950) who was a Ballymena United player in the late 50's.

We have a number of former players who are Sports Bond members and continue to support the club which is much appreciated. The last £10 minor winner was Vicki Russell (B4166) on her own agency.

In the major £50 section Martha Magill (A0799) of Dalriada Walk had her second major win in just under 3 months! Agent Richard McClean had a £50 winner with Nicola Pennie (A2990) who recently got married and therefore we will have a name change to correct. In Upper Princes Street a £50 win for Norman Mooney (B6473).

Still no Jackpot with the numbers 3, 12, 15 and 21, so this week’s Jackpot is £800.
Agent News
Sympathy is extended to the Hanna family of Cullybackey on the passing of Eddie Hanna. Eddie was well known in local football circles having once played at Ballyclare Comrades. His son Richard was one of Sports Bond agents, brother Jimmy and nephew Thomas are still current members on Maurice Anderson's agency.
Old Clothes for New Players
This promotion has successfully been running for some years now. The company, Used Clothing Co, are advertisers and sponsors of Ballymena United. The company can now take footwear as long as all shoes, boots and trainers are in pairs. To arrange an uplift ring Brian Thompson on 07831 803970.
Walk of Hope
Brian Thompson has now reached Cushendall on his Walk of Hope along the Coast Road for BraveheartsNI. The summer weekend traffic is making it a difficult and sometimes dangerous walk however the next leg to Ballycastle should see a large percentage of the walk completed. He has met some interesting characters along the way including Jeannie Lane, a former Chicago PD Officer who identified with the supply of defibrillators as it was the Chicago PD who were instrumental in their supply and distribution in Chicago.
