BALLYMENA United suffered a late defeat at Stangemore Park to virtually end any lingering hope of a top six finish before the split. Ryan McIlmoyle opened the scoring for the Swifts early on before Mark Surgenor equalised with seven minutes remaining. McIlmoyle struck a late winner in a game which was boycotted by almost all Ballymena supporters.
