BALLYMENA United Thirds ground out a superb win against Limavady United Youth to continue their good start to the IFA Youth League season.

Ballymena started bright and dominated large parts of this game as Dermot McWilliams (pictured) put Ballymena ahead after 15 minutes.

Colin Moore could have made it two goals but fired over the bar but Limavady United Youth got back on level terms after a long ball wasn't cleared.

Eoghan McIlhinney got Ballymena back in front when he stepped inside a defender to fire home.

The second half saw Ballymena push hard for their third but against the run of play Limavady got their second from a corner.

Patrick Deboys went close before Gavin Kernohan got the winner after a shot from Conor Martin hit the bar.
