TANDRAGEE ROVERS YOUTH 0-1 BALLYMENA UNITED THIRDS
(Saturday, 10th September, 2011; IFA Youth League Section B - 2)

MELVYN Logan's Ballymena United Thirds side secured their first win of the new season away against Tandragee Rovers Youth.

Ballymena should have had this game over in the first 30 minutes creating good chances but only managed to convert one.

The first chance fell to Patrick Deboys but only managed to shoot wide. Dermot McWilliams hit the bar with a good shot from 30 yards, then Patrick Deboys got onto the end of a Connel Dooey cross.

Tandragee had a good chance to get back on level tems from the penalty spot but Christopher Bradley made a good save.

The second half again saw Ballymena create some good chances; Eoghan McIlhinney hit the post, whilst Daniel Lauder brought a good save from the keeper but as the half went on Tandragee pushed hard but couldn't get back into the game.
