BALLYMENA UNITED RESERVES 0-2 CRUSADERS RESERVES
(Saturday, 15th September, 2011; IFA Reserve League 11)

United started well in the third meeting of the sides this season and with some nice neat passing from front to back but failed to get past the Crues' defence.

Crusaders Reserves got a free kick in the 31st minute which they scored with a superb effort.

United's defence was playing well and limiting Crusaders to rarely any shooting chances but 44 minutes gone United Reserves gave away another needless freekick from which Crusaders scored.

After the break United came out and played some very nice passing football but try as they may they couldn't get the break through. Gillan on the left wing started to pose the visitor's defence a problem with his constant pace and trickery and was unlucky when he was brought down in the box, but the referee waved play on.

United dominated the entire second half but just couldn't get the vital break through. Special mention to the Sky Blues' back four who were superb all day and Youth Team player Jordan Waring who came on and played very well and barring the two free-kicks the was nothing in the game as both keepers had very little to do.

Ballymena United Reserves: Aaron Kerr, Corey Price, Denver Gage, Daniel Agnew, David Reid, David Chesney (sub Jordan Waring 65), John Rimmer (Justin Sterritt 70), Michael O'Mullan, Neil Lowry, Eoin Gillan, Rory Carson.
