CLIFTONVILLE OLYMPIC 0-3 BALLYMENA UNITED RESERVES
Saturday, 13th October, 2007; Carnegie Reserve League 4

ANOTHER win for the undeafted Reserve team as they top the Carnegie Reserve League after four games.

It was last year's second place side that proved to be the victims of another footballing masterclass by the reigning Reserve League champions.

David Cushley (pictured right), who was fantastic throughout, opened the scoring after only 13 minutes when he cut in from the left flank to fire in an unstoppable drive with his right foot.

The young Sky Blues continued to press, and their second goal came on 34 minutes, when after some neat build-up play, Aaron Holland played Gary Baird through and he got inside his man and finished superbly for his third goal of the season.

Ballymena's dominance continued into the second period, and with only four minutes elapsed Lee Patrick curled in a shot from outside the area, after good work from Lee Colligan.

A convincing win for the Reserve League Champions, and on this form - who would bet against a repeat of that miraculous feat.

Ballymena United Reserves: Sean O'Neill, Andrew Long, Aaron Holland, Aaron Stewart, Lee Colligan, Gary Baird (sub Ryan Deans 65), Lee Patrick, Nigel Boyd, Liam Mullan (sub George Young 68), David Cushley, Paul McNeill (sub Daryl Brammeld 74). Sub (not used): Chris Getty.
