BALLYMENA United Reserves picked up a solid one goal victory over Moyola Park.

United's second string took on the Irish League Second division side with a very young side, which also included new signing Paudie Hearty, who signed a one year deal after impressing Tommy Wright during pre-season.

After a goalless first half, United's winner came on 73 minutes when Randal Reid (pictured) scored for the young sky blues.
